The 71st Open d’Italia by Damiani, the main golf tournament in Italy, ends

openSunday, the 71st Open d’Italia by Damiani, at the Turin Golf Club, ended. The tournament was held on the difficult course of Golf Club La Mandria from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 August. Damiani was the main sponsor and further enriched the 71st Open d’Italia with a splendid Juliette parure worth around US$ 350,000 for the contestant who achieved a ‘Hole in One’; unfortunately, none of the contending players achieved this.
On the company stand shone the latest Damiani collections and masterpieces of great value. Splendid models wearing beautiful masterpiece parures paraded during the cocktail and at the Gala dinner.
The tournament was won by the South African Hennie Otto; the top Italian in the list, Francesco Molinari, received a splendid pair of Damiani Metropolitan Dream cufflinks in pink rose and diamonds from Guido Damiani, Chairman and Managing Director.
Guido Damiani said, “It’s been an honour to sponsor this event in the year we celebrate the 90th anniversary of our company. We have woven deep ties with golf throughout our history, taking part in a long series of events and initiatives which have been given the right accolade in the role assumed for the Open d’Italia this year.”
Damiani continues to tie its name to the world of élite sport, previously taking part in important competitions such as, for example, the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series (America’s Cup) with the sailing team ‘Damiani Italia Challenge’ and the award-winning yacht ‘Damiani Ourdream’, the ‘Damiani Golf Cup’ circuit, the ‘Ferrari Challenge’ and many others.
