On 27th April 2015, Guido Damiani received the Leonardo Qualità Italia Award on occasion of the “Italian Quality Day”, promoted by Leonardo Committee and dedicated to businesses that promote the image, style and excellence of Italy and its products worldwide.
Guido Damiani, President of Damiani Group, was conferred the prize by President Mattarella in Rome, in the Quirinale Palace in the presence of Carlo Calenda, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Riccardo M. Monti, President of the Italian Institute of Foreign Trade, Luisa Todini, President of Leonardo Committee, and several ambassadors.
Guido Damiani said: “The accolade is proof that our endeavour in affirming the quality of Italian products world-wide has its fruits. Our enterprise was born in Valenza, the land that has spawned the best of Italy’s goldsmithery tradition. My grandfather, Enrico Damiani, designed and produced diamond-studded jewels starting way back in 1924. For us who sell a hand-made artisanal product, crafted one at a time, the Leonardo award has an even greater meaning and is a further recognition of how much our products are admired”.
The initiative, now in its 20th edition, is promoted by the Leonardo Committee, established in 1993 from a joint idea by Sen. Sergio Pininfarina and Sen. Gianni Agnelli, Confindustria, ICE and a group of entrepreneurs, with the aim of spreading and reinforcing Italy’s excellence in the world.
The Italian Quality Committee comprises enterprises that enjoy an undisputed international reputation both related to product quality and their international vocation. The members of the Committee: Damiani, Ferrari, Prada, Tod’s, Ferrero, Loro Piana, Luxottica and Marzotto.
A prominent award that makes us proud and pushes us to strive with our passion and endeavours to show the world the finest of the made in Italy.
