31 January 1952. The Grand Duke Nicholas Romanov of the Tsars of Russia marries Countess Sveva della Gherardesca, descendent of one of Italy’s most historic noble families, in Cannes. The bride wears an elegant floral-motif tiara. Inspired by this piece of jewellery, Damiani creates the Fiori d’Arancio collection in collaboration with Nicoletta Romanov, granddaughter of the bride and groom.
A precious floral motif that circles the head, a perfect balance of design, materials and supreme craftsmanship. Innumerable hours of research, over six months of work, almost 500 grams of gold and over 4500 diamonds to transform this sophisticated ornament into a high jewellery work of art in which Damiani style meets the wonderful tradition of the Tsars.
