INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES
Dear Visitor (hereinafter “You” or the “User”),
this website (http://www.damiani.com/) (hereinafter the “Website”) is owned by the company C.D. S.p.A. with registered office in 15048 Valenza (AL), Piazza Damiano Grassi Damiani no. 1, Tax Code/VAT no. 01457570065 (hereinafter “Owner”), (hereinafter “We” or the “Company”)
With this information we wish to explain to you what “cookies” are and how they are used on the Website.
We directly transmit and control some cookies (proprietary or first-party cookies). With these cookies, the Company collects and processes some personal data regarding you. In this information, also pursuant to Art. 13 of Italian Legislative Decree 196 of 30 June 2003 (the “Privacy Code”) and pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 concerning the protection of natural persons as regards the processing of personal data (the “Regulation”), we will explain to you how we collect these data, why we do so, and what your rights are.
Other cookies (third-party cookies) are, on the other hand, transmitted and controlled by third parties. You will find links to the information published by these third parties in this information note, which we ask that you read carefully.
What are cookies and what is their purpose?
Cookies are small text files that the websites the user visits send directly to their terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites the next time the same user visits them (proprietary first-party cookies). When navigating a website, the user may also receive cookies of different websites or web servers (third-party cookies); this occurs because there may be elements such as images, maps, sounds or specific links to web pages of other domains residing on servers other than the one where the requested page is found on the website being visited. In other words, they are those cookies that are set by a website other than the one the user is currently visiting.
The cookies may have a duration limited to a single navigation session on the browser (session cookies), and in this case they are automatically disabled when the user closes the browser; or they may have a pre-set expiration, and should this be the case, they will remain stored and active on your hard disk until that expiration date, and will continue to collect information during different navigation sessions on the browser (persistent cookies).
Cookies are used for different functions. Some are necessary to allow you to navigate on the website and to use some of its functions (technical cookies). Others are used to obtain statistical information, in aggregated or non-aggregated form, on the number of users that access the Website and on how the Website is used (monitoring or analytics cookies). Lastly, other cookies are used to track your consumer profile and show you advertising announcements on the Website that might be of interest to you in so far as they are consistent with your tastes and your consumer habits (profiling cookies).
Please continue to read this information in order to learn about these different cookie categories more in detail. Find out how they work and what their purpose is, and freely choose whether to use them or to block their use.
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used on the Website only to make your Website navigation possible and to let you use its functions. They are always first-party cookies as we directly transmit them on the Website.
Some technical cookies are crucial in order to offer you an optimum navigation experience or to allow you to authenticate yourself on the website, e.g. to make a purchase on the Website or to enter your reserved area (navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are usually session cookies, so once the navigation browser has been closed they are automatically disabled.
Other technical cookies are used to let you store some of your preferences (e.g. language or country) without having to reset them on future visits (function cookies). This is why the function cookies are often persistent cookies, since they remain stored on your computer even after closing the navigation browser and until their set expiration date or until you have decided to delete them.
The following technical cookies are currently used on the Website:

Monitoring or “analytics” cookies
Analytics cookies are used on the Website to collect statistical information, in aggregated or non-aggregated form, on the number of users that access the Website and on how they visit the Website.

Other third-party analytics cookies are instead installed on the Website only with your prior consent because they are not made anonymous since the third parties can access disaggregated analytics data at the IP address level (in other words, third parties might theoretically trace your identity through the IP address when using these cookies).
This is why when you access the Website a special banner is displayed and highlighted, to inform you that (i) third-party analytics cookies are used on the Website and (ii) by closing the banner, scrolling the home page or clicking any element on the home page outside the banner you consent to the use of the cookies. Please bear in mind that should you delete this technical cookie from your browser using the methods described in the next section “How to manage, disable and delete cookies”, evidence of your consent would be lost and therefore the cookies banner will be again displayed the next time you visit the Website.
You are naturally free to block installation of the analytics cookies at any time, without the possibility of visiting the Website and using its content being in any way jeopardised. To find out how to do it, carefully read the information notices on the third-party cookies by following the links provided in the table above.

In this way we will avoid showing you the banner on the cookies during your next visits to the Website. Please bear in mind that should you delete this technical cookie from your browser using the methods described in the next section “How to manage, disable and delete cookies”, evidence of your consent would be lost and therefore the cookies banner will be again displayed the next time you visit the Website.
You are naturally free to block installation of the profiling cookies at any time, without the possibility of visiting the website and using its content being in any way jeopardised. If you decide to disable the behavioural advertising, this does not mean you will not receive more advertising on the Website. However, the banners you will see on the Website might not reflect your interests or your preferences on the browser that you are currently using.
Some of the profiling cookies are directly installed by the Company (first-party profiling cookies). These cookies are persistent and have a maximum duration of 12 months. The list of first-party profiling cookies used on the Website follow with information on how you can object to their installation.
